Fort Douglas was a 'fort' during the Civil war, and actually stood where Eagle Mountain is today.

This is what Owen was excited to see. Savannah actually thought these tanks, cannons, and helicopters were cool too. There is machinery from every war since 1861 included here:
This house was actually built in 1863. They have preserved it very well. It's just around the corner from the Fort Douglas Museum.
Here are some peeks inside the house- I took the pictures through the window.
This is a replica of what they used as a bandstand back in 1861. People listened to music and socialized there. This one was recreated in 2002 when the Olympics were in Salt Lake City.
This is definitely a place worth visiting-- especially with a little boy.
