At the start of every school year, I remember giving a report about what we did during the summer. Good thing I have babies, a preschooler, and an almost kindergartener because the summer was paradisaical to them--

COOKIES!!!
We made flip flop cookies. We used pepperidge farm oval shaped cookies, string licorice, mini M&M's, and gummy worms, frosting, and food coloring. Savannah and Owen chose the colors to die the frosting. We frosted the oval cookies in our choice of color, then decorated the cookie like flip flops. We used cut gummy worms or string licorice for the straps, and m&m's or cut up gummy worms for the toe strap and just to decorate the flip flop. They were yummy and fun to make!

NEW HAIR STYLES
Savannah found this hairstyle she loves. We part her hair zig ziagged, then put each side in a pony tail. I then took one pony tail and twisted in 3/4ths of the way down and shaped it into a bun and bobby pinned it. Then repeated on the other side. This was the fave hairstyle of the summer.
This is Savannah's very very very very very very... favorite top. Actually it is a 3T size dress- she received as a hand-me-down when she was three. Now, as you see, it is a top that she wears with skirts, leggins, shorts, and would wear it alone IF she could get away with it. I've hidden this dress, and even thought it went to DI. Nope. It keeps showing up. She asked the other day if I could add a bit of material to it and make it a dress again. We'll see- the sagag of the leopard dress :)

PERFORMING PLAYS-- WOW
I had some ployester fabric that my grandma gave me- straight from the 50's. It's pretty cool material. The kids made a theater out of it- worked fabulously. Only problem-- the play got cancelled because
someone told me that
someone else couldn't act their part good enough. Too bad.

MAJOR HIGHLIGHT: WELCOME HOME
STACY!!!!!
Stacy arrived home from her mission on August 17th. She served in Taiwan-- we're so glad that she went, and sooooo happy that she is home.
SUMMER 2010- definitely a preschooler's paradise. We hardly left home- due to 2 adorable new babies, and a major lack of money. It's okay though. We had lots of fun. Hopefully ina few years we'll have a summer of world traveling. That's my wish.
